Overview
Become qualified to apply for your SIA Door Supervisor licence with our intensive, classroom-based programme delivered by an approved Highfield centre. This course is delivered over 6 days (minimum 44 contact hours, with guided self-study where applicable) and covers the knowledge, skills, and physical intervention techniques required for frontline security roles.
Course includes:
• 6 days in-person training (minimum 44 contact hours)
• Pre-course learning guidance to ensure learner readiness
• All learner training materials used during delivery
• Highfield learner registration and all required assessments/exams
• Physical Intervention training delivered face-to-face
• Highfield certificate issued upon successful completion
• Tutor support and exam preparation throughout the course
• 2 resits included (subject to Highfield rules and centre availability)

Practical Assessments
You will complete:
• Multiple-choice exams for each unit
• A practical physical intervention assessment
• Scenario-based demonstrations
All assessments are delivered professionally and supportively, with additional coaching
offered where needed.
Entry Requirements
To enroll you must
• Be 18 or over
• Speak and understand English to the required level
• Bring original photographic ID (passport/driving licence)
• Hold a valid EFAW certificate (we offer this as an add -on if required)
• Bring 2 passport-sized photos
Entry Requirements
• Completion of ACT (Action Counters Terrorism) Awareness and ACT Security e-learning modules prior to attendance.
• ACT e-learning must be completed via the official UK Government ProtectUK platform: https://www.protectuk.police.uk
• A valid Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) or equivalent qualification (must be valid for at least 12 months from course start date).
• Completion of guided pre-course self-study provided by the training centre.
• Learners must be 18 or over and provide valid photographic ID and proof of address before the course start date.
English Language Requirements
• Learners must have a good command of spoken and written English.
• All learners complete an initial English language assessment at the start of the course to confirm they can fully participate in training and assessments. This is a requirement of SIA-linked training.
• Learners must be able to read and understand course materials and written assessments.
• Learners must communicate effectively in English during classroom discussions and practical exercises.
• Where English is not the learner’s first language, the centre may request evidence of Functional Skills English (Level 2), ESOL (Level 1 or above), or equivalent recognised English qualification, or require an initial assessment.
